1. Overview & 100% On-Device Game Data

Cosmic Energy is developed and published by AKU APPS (Package / Bundle Identifier: com.akuapps.cosmicenergy).

The core game is fully playable offline. All your game progress, tower upgrades, unlocked technologies, sound and display settings, chosen commander nickname, and personal ranked high scores are stored strictly locally on your physical device.

We do not require account registration, social logins, email addresses, or phone numbers to play the game.

2. Online Leaderboards & Cloud Infrastructure

When a player voluntarily accesses the optional in-game online leaderboard, the application connects to Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Anonymous Authentication) to establish a temporary anonymous session and retrieve read-only seasonal rankings.

No personal player identity or device profile is uploaded during leaderboard viewing. A randomly generated anonymous session token is preserved locally to maintain the connection.

In the current release, ranked score upload is strictly disabled (fail-closed remote gate). Your commander nickname and personal scores are not transmitted to the public leaderboard. If score submission is enabled in future seasons, submissions will be cryptographically linked only to the anonymous session token without exposing any personal identity.

3. Analytics Tracking (Firebase Analytics)

Cosmic Energy integrates Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregated player flow, optimize performance, and fine-tune game difficulty balance.

Tracked custom gameplay events are strictly limited to high-level game loop state transitions:

  • normal_game_create: Triggered when a player starts a new Normal defense run.
  • ranked_game_create: Triggered when a player starts a new Ranked defense run.
  • game_resume: Triggered when an existing saved game session is resumed (strictly separated from new game creation).
  • wave_complete: Triggered upon clearing a combat wave (recording wave number, game mode, and boss status).
  • game_exit: Triggered when a defense run concludes (recording reached wave, end reason, and run duration).

4. Zero PII & Privacy-First Diagnostics

Google Firebase Analytics also processes standard non-identifiable technical telemetry such as device hardware model, operating system version, app build version, approximate regional location (country/city level), and crash stack traces.

Zero Personal Data: Custom gameplay events never collect, transmit, or store real names, commander nicknames, email addresses, anonymous Firebase UIDs, advertising identifiers, contact books, photos, or free-form text input.

5. Advertising & Google Ads Campaign Measurement

No In-Game Third-Party Advertising: Cosmic Energy does not display banner ads, interstitial popups, or rewarded video advertisements.

No In-App Purchases (IAP): The game contains no microtransactions, digital currency stores, or commercial payment integrations.

Google Ads Campaign Measurement: Aggregated Firebase Analytics conversion events may be used to measure the efficiency of Google Ads user acquisition campaigns.

Privacy-Safe Defaults: Advertising ID collection (Google Advertising ID / GAID on Android and IDFA on iOS) is completely disabled. Consent parameters for ad storage (ad_storage), ad user data (ad_user_data), and ad personalization (ad_personalization) are denied by default.

6. User Consent & In-Game Controls (Opt-In / Opt-Out)

Explicit First-Launch Consent: When launching the game for the first time, players are presented with an explicit consent modal to choose whether to enable Analytics telemetry.

Until explicit player consent is granted, all Analytics data collection remains entirely disabled at the native engine level.

Players can modify, withdraw, or re-enable their Analytics consent at any time through the in-game Settings menu (Pause / Settings Modal).

Declining or revoking consent immediately halts all subsequent telemetry transmission.

7. Data Retention, Security & Deletion

Because your primary game data resides locally on your mobile device, you maintain complete sovereignty over your information at all times. You can permanently wipe all game saves, settings, and high scores by clearing app storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

Telemetry data stored by Google Firebase is hosted on encrypted, access-restricted Google Cloud infrastructure and retained in accordance with Firebase standard retention schedules.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

Cosmic Energy complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and European GDPR-K regulations. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by local law).

Players are advised not to enter real personal names in the optional commander nickname field.
